Frequently Asked Questions

You can transfer just about about everything across from EventMeister to LogMeister just by copying a few files:

1) In EventMeister, use File -> Explore Data Folder to open the data folder in a file window
2) Quit EventMeister and stop the associated service (important)
3) Install LogMeister and run the front end app.
4) In LogMeister, use File -> Explore Data Folder to open the data folder in a file window
5) Quite LogMeister and stop the associated service
6) Copy all files and sub-folders from the EventMeister data folder to the corresponding LogMeister data folder.

That'll leave you with a few redundant files in your LogMeister folder but nothing to worry about. You can now start up the LogMeister service and/or the front end app. Note that you will still need to configure smtp settings to allow LogMeister to send email notifications.
